A sneak peek into Studio A's CoLab inspiration for the show!

We’re excited about our CoLabs this year, which will be brought to life by Fired Earth Paint and in association with Visi Magazine.

In particular, make sure you see Tristan du Plessis’ stand of Studio A. As part of our mentorship initiative, we’ve partnered him with emerging designer Tuami Zulu whose work is known to be conceptually rooted. Together they are working on a kitchen and living area with dark, yet luxurious appeal.

Tristan has quickly become Joburg’s go-to designer for signature hospitality design and is the creative brains behind many of Joburg’s design forward restaurants, bars and nightclubs. For his CoLab feature he’s creating a slick and luxurious kitchen and lounge area aimed at his successful rouges-of-industry clientele.

You can expect Tristan’s tell-tale lashings of black and grungy glamour, but this time they’ll be sharpened with hand brushed bronze and rock n’ roll inspired detailing. The fully specced, custom Blu_line kitchen is the first of its kind and is bound to turn the heads of onlookers. His feature stand will also boast industrial style Diesel Living tiles from Avanga, iconic furniture and accessories courtesy of True Design and show stopping lighting from Streamlight.

Asked what we could expect of their CoLab feature, Tuami says: “I feel that Tristan and I will set the bar high.” We can’t wait to see the results of this intriguing collaboration.
